Yoon Dong-Chun

Yoon Dong-Chun (b. 1957 in Hwaseong, Korea) graduated from the College of Fine Arts at Seoul National University and received his Master’s degree from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in the United States. Yoon grounds his practice in society and everyday life, using sharp satire to confront the absurdities of contemporary reality across various genres. Since 1988, he has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in over 300 group exhibitions, working across painting, installation, printmaking, photography, and drawing. In 1992, he was awarded the Gold Prize at the 4th International Asian European Art Biennale. His works are included in the collections of major art institutions in Korea and abroad, notably the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, and the British Museum.
